Where is fuel pump located on a 98 Subaru lugacy fifty

The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank and is replaced thru the top of the tank. Pull back the carpet in the rear cargo area. In that location you volition encounter a cover held downwardly with 4 screws. Remove the cover to expose the fuel pump/sender unit assembly. You know that's it if information technology has a white electrical connector and 3 rubber hoses attached to it.

The fuel pump sits in the gas tank. Nearly Subaru vehicles have an access panel to get to the top of the tank for easy removal. The fuel pump is role of the sending unit, but it looks every bit thought the pump itself can be purchased separately and changed out on the assembly.
